Peer Review Reflection

I receiving some critical feedback as well as some good feedback about what I did well. My first experience was not much different from high school to college. The only real thing I noticed was that it was taken a little more seriously than in high school as in high school it was treated more as a quick thing rather than dedicating a whole class to peer review. My peer focused on more of the big things, rather than little common errors and grammatical errors, which was also a change from high school.

Some of the things that I noticed with my experience was that when I did not focus on grammar and little errors and focused more on thesis statements and overall argument. It made it easier to construct and give better feedback on the piece itself. The experience itself of participating in peer review was valuable for me as I learned how to better receive and incorporate feedback, and develop my critical thinking and communication skills. When reviewing my peers’ work, I was able to gain insights into a different writing style and approach, and learn to approach my own writing with a more critical eye.
