Paper One Self Reflection

  1. “However, I take the side of people like Adrian Chen and believe that social media’s positives heavily out-weigh the negatives. Positives include communication, stability, and information. Writing pieces like “The Limits of Friendship” by Maria Konnikova and “Unfollow” by Adrian Chen discuss both arguments on social media.” One of the strengths is that I took a side, that was the main focus of the essay. Another strength, is that I mentioned each positive and clearly stated what I will be talking about. Weaknesses of my thesis are none.
  2. I learned that it was way easier to write essays than I thought. Especially when it is an interesting topic, I was able to get my thoughts on the paper easily and in bulk. This was a great topic to talk about, but I was reminded also about the importance of analysis and evidence in your essay.
  3. The aspect of revision that I made was adding a Naysayer into my final paragraph. Its always good to mention the other side to keep the reader engaged in your writing. Also fixed up some word choices to make some parts more specific.
  4. Definitely dig-deeper into the articles, and grab out some better quotes from the writing pieces provided.
